Built by people who actually go boating.
We exist to make boats that make sense — mechanically, economically, and socially. No legacy baggage.
Where we came from
UX Marine began in Cape Town, South Africa, where the ocean has little patience for theory and even less for excuses. It’s a place where boats are judged quickly and honestly, not by how they look tied up, but by how they behave when conditions change. That environment shaped us early on. The first boats were built and refined through real use — long days at sea, practical needs, and a deep respect for seamanship.
From those beginnings, UX Marine grew deliberately rather than loudly. As the brand expanded beyond its birthplace, the foundation stayed the same: design informed by experience, not trends. Today, with our design roots still anchored in South Africa and our presence extending across Asia and beyond, that original mindset continues to guide every decision we make.
Our beliefs
We believe good boats should feel right, capable, and quietly confident. They shouldn’t demand attention or rely on unnecessary complexity to prove their worth. Technology should earn its place, systems should be understandable, and materials should age with dignity rather than fight time.
UX in UX Marine stands for User Experience, and it’s exactly what we design around. Every choice is made with the person using the boat in mind — how it feels to move through it, live with it, maintain it, and trust it at sea. We value experience over excess, clarity over clutter, and confidence that comes from thoughtful design rather than marketing noise. A well-designed boat doesn’t shout; it reassures.
Our persuit
Our boats are shaped by people who actually go out — captains, cruisers, fishermen, and explorers who understand what matters once you leave the dock. Every layout, hull form, and system is considered as part of a whole, built in rather than bolted on, refined until it feels resolved.
As UX Marine has grown, including our expansion to China, our approach has remained disciplined and intentional. Our headquarters are, and will always be, in Singapore, where the first ideas for UX Marine were sketched on a servillete and argued over a few beers. From there, we build close to where our boats are used, while staying true to the principles that shaped our earliest builds. The result is a range of explorer boats that are easy to live with, dependable over time, and designed to carry you further; comfortably, confidently, and without fuss.
Small team. Serious output.
Design, engineering, and production working side by side.
People, not positions
These are the ones who decided and most importantly believed this was a good idea
